The Level 4–5 Extended Diploma in IT and Web Design at London Gate College is a 240-credit Ofqual-regulated qualification, equal to the first two years of a bachelor’s degree. The programme gives learners an in-depth understanding of web development and design. Students master technical skills in programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while also learning creative design principles including colour theory, typography, and layout. Entry Requirements

Applicants should hold a secondary school qualification or an equivalent credential. For non-native English speakers, a minimum English language proficiency at A2 level is required to ensure full participation. Programme Structure and Modules

The diploma is divided into two stages. The Level 4 Diploma corresponds to the first year of a university degree and includes 10 modules with 10 written assignments. The Level 5 Diploma represents the second year and also consists of 10 modules with 8 written assignments. Each module has around 40 guided learning hours and 30–50 optional study hours. The curriculum covers both technical web development and creative design, ensuring a thorough foundation in IT and web design.
